I love to hear and see what people are working on, but it's not always easy to go round and catch up with everyone in game. So I thought it would be nice if we all posted about our current projects on this thread, and maybe post updates with progress, or when you complete or start something new!

I am currently working on my underground base. It is deep beneath my fort, from bedrock up! I have finished the entrance / Throne room, and I think I am finally happy with the way it looks. I've finished the storage room and am now working on a dungeon! It's at bedrock level, and looks really creepy with the void fog. Inspired by Carters prison, I may have to get some villagers trapped down there!

I'm at work now, but I'll post some screen shots of what I've done so far.

Cool. I think I am done with my chicken farm. Just need to wait for it to fill up with chickens and eggs, then I will get some pics to show you.

well i thought of using the cobwebs method
I already have a stack of cobwebs, but the problem with it is that it'll need to be super high up >.> like about 58 cobwebs high excluding everything else

then I thought of a clock delay thingy where it just sends a pulse to the dispenser every 5 seconds or so into a half slab with lava directly on top and when it matures, the chicken burns
however this would require a redstone circuit to be running all the time

What are you trying to do Sam? Have the chickens automatically killed as soon as they mature?

Cobweb method : Falling through cobwebs would take slightly more than 20 minutes and 20 minutes is the time required for the chickens to mature. Chickens fall onto a netherrack with fire and the items would be sucked by a hopper by the side

Redstone method : Make a 5 second interval pulses to a dispenser so it'll shoot eggs every 5 seconds if there's an egg inside it and this clock would go on and on so you'll hear a "click" every 5 seconds. Chicks will be hatched onto a half slab. When they mature, they'll touch the lava above and it cooks them with a hopper at the bottom to suck the drops.

I take it this is so you can afk and the chickens will still be hatched and collected? With the cobweb method you'd still need the dispencer constantly shooting the eggs at the top of the webs though?

You can use a comparator with the dispencer so it will shoot out eggs really quickly whenever there are any in it. That's what I used, but I have an over ride switch so I can turn it off and let the eggs build up.

yeah I probably should use a comparator lol.. I thought of using a comparator for my cob web design but not the other one lol


but yeah, I like my farms fully automatic so it'll keep running even when I'm afk

lol, at this rate Sam, you won't need to play Minecraft at all! You'll just be able to afk at your base and everything will be done for you!!

Anyway, if I have these resources in stock, I can always donate to those who need them especially gold and iron. That way, they don't have to waste time afk-ing at the farm which they would most probably do if they need these resources. Perhaps except ross as he dislikes the idea of these farms

Plus I want my chicken farm for food supply and feathers. Emeralds, can never get enough I suppose, they a beauty.

Ok, here is my finished Chicken Farm! I start off with a normal Chicken Pen and a few Chickens!

The eggs are collected through the floor and automatically shot from a dispenser in the ceiling. This along with feeding them seeds from my automatic farm next door equals lots of chickens!

One you have enough chickens you can turn the automatic hatcher off, so eggs start to collect, ready to repopulate after the slaughter!

you then get to choose in the chickens live or die!

Of course they die... Getting swept into a hole in the middle of the floor then crushed!

You can then turn the hatcher back on to repopulate

Mean while the chickens get plucked and sorted into these two chests. The other one is for any misc. items that you might accidentally drop in the pen, and also just in case of an overflow of eggs. That is unlikely though as there is a double chest and loads of hoppers attached to the dispenser for egg storage.

I'm very please with this farm! It's the most complex redstone I've built! The chickens seem to like it as well!

My summer event!

I just made a prototype of the Golem Racing in a superflat creative world. I hit a Creeper out of my way and he blew up all my redstone! I'm too used to mob griefing being off...

Anyway, it turned out great! Even better than I expected! I don't know if I will actually build it on the server though, it's so resource heavy! Need loads of redstone, repeaters, sticky pistons...

As you know I joined the server a few days ago and just finished my spawn house. I'd like to set up my base on an island, not to big not to small and far away from any land. If you ever find one please tell meh !
