| I have given him a load of Gravel to use to fill in some of the water. It will work I think, with other water around, but the more he can fill in the more efficient the squid farm will be! |

| The very purpose I built it close by despite the many water sources around is because, I don't want to travel far away just to get some ink sacks for written books to trade with a villager for emeralds. I can just afk at my farm, and my reed will grow, ink sacs will come, gold and iron as well. So yeah, industrial age I don't really require 6k ink sacks / hour I just built it as an extra "profit" of emeralds between each trade reset. |

| Is this a face war? Anyway, what I'll be working on after my exams is, 1) Covering up water sources 2) Upgrading my chicken farm 3) Expanding my reed farm 4) Making my cow farm to have an auto kill function 5) Finishing my wall (I even forgot how I built my tower -.-) AND 6) If the 6th month anniversary is really going to go as planned, probably some tracks for the pig race or maybe the boat race (which maybe I can help Wil do) |

| Maybe Lu thinks by 'tracks for the Pig Race' you mean Minecart Rails? I asume you mean just marking out some lanes though? |

| Are you still looking for a good chicken farm Will? I made one that you might like. It's different from the others and use a lot of hoppers and red stone. If you want to see it, I'll take pictures of it and make a tortorial on how to make it. |

| Here's the pictures of the farm and it's redstone currents and how it works, Since it's picture heavy, I'll put it in spoilers so it can be easy to load the pictures in groups. - Spoiler:
Chickens in a holding pen set up in a way they can't get out. The hoppers they're on is in a 3x3 formation and the hoppers send their eggs into the main farm in the ground. You can make it as deep as you want it to be, it's best to have it at lease 15 levels below ground. The farm is harder to set up if there's a ravine below it.[Only admins are allowed to see this image]
- Spoiler:
The hoopers take the eggs into the despencer and the dropper below it. [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
Chickens on top of the hoppers hoopers that collect the eggs. [Only admins are allowed to see this image] Four pistons hold back the water and keep chickens from trying to escape. It's all controlled by a lever. When the pistons retract, the water flow push chickens into the fire to be cooked. [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
Then the cooked chicken and feathers go into the hoppers to get placed into the chest. [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
- Spoiler:
Lever that controls the dispenser to shoot the eggs into the cooking zone. [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
The dispenser firing the eggs. [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
The first egg firing dispenser's red stone current, it's connected to the lever. [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
- Spoiler:
The red stone current that powers the pistons and the lever for it. [Only admins are allowed to see this image] Beyond the trap doors is another part of the pistons' current.[Only admins are allowed to see this image]
- Spoiler:
Hoppers that takes the eggs from the chickens that's in the water current and takes them to a chest. From the chest, another hopper sends the eggs into a dropper to be discarded.[Only admins are allowed to see this image]
- Spoiler:
The dropper's power and it's lever, flip the lever and the dropper sends the unwanted eggs into the lava. [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
- Spoiler:
The dropper that sends the eggs into hopper towards the killing zone that will give you raw chicken and feathers. Please remember that this dropper and the hopper needs to be filled up first if you want the dispenser above them to work correctly.[Only admins are allowed to see this image](Note; I changed the current that goes over the hoppers make it shorter and it's pointless to have go over the hoppers. You'll see why.)[Only admins are allowed to see this image]
- Spoiler:
The hopper's current as it sends eggs into the hoppers. [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
- Spoiler:
The kill chamber. The dispenser on the top fires eggs at a wall and chicks goes down into the chamber to wait for their death. [Only admins are allowed to see this image] Flip the top lever to turn on the top dispenser. [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
- Spoiler:
The top dispenser's redstone circet. [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
- Spoiler:
When the pistons retract, it reveals the hoppers. Those hoppers take the drops into the chest. [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
- Spoiler:
The current behind the pistons. similar to the other sets of pistons.[Only admins are allowed to see this image]
- Spoiler:
The current for the dispensers that fires the arrows and the hoppers that provides arrows. [Only admins are allowed to see this image]

| Wow, that is big and complecated! lol I started working on mine last night. I'm still working it out as I go along, but it's nowhere near as high tech as yours! What's the output like on yours though? I notice you dispose of eggs tha could be used to hatch more chickens?! With mine, all the eggs will be collected, and I can also breed the chickens with seeds, so I should get a lot out of it! |

| As long as the dropper is off, the chest will start getting filled up with eggs and you can collect them when you want to. Chickens in the kill zone waiting for you to kill them. The eggs they lay will go into the hoppers along with raw chicken and feathers once the pistons retract.
The chickens on the surface will give you a constant supply of eggs as long they're in there. You can always breed more. |
