Well... lately there's the idea we wanted to build a gold farm, because gold is almost as rare as diamonds... BUT we never said we would build it above the bedrock.
Because for a reason bedrock exists... and it's the limit of the Hell..
So if you guys want to start it, find a good spot in the nether, and we weill remove all the lava in the ground and do it just between the bedrock.
Might not be as effective as the above bedrock one, but it's still better than not having any.

I still dont understand how you get above bedrock. Or is that your saying this cause you cant get there without creative?

You actually can with a ladder and a ender pearl.

yeah, you just place a ladder on the highest block possible and throw an ender pearl to it
surprisingly, I tried on Singleplayer survival, I could go through 6 blocks without dying lol..
