Hello , I wanna to introduce you ABBA rule caving !

So, what is that all about ? Well , 2 or more people (minimal 2) can decide to start ABBA caving when ever they can , then find some unexplored caves and go mine for goods .

What do we mine ? In ABBA caving you mine for most rare Ores you can find , or Ores that can have high vallue (like Iron curently does) .

What tools do I need ? Rule is to use only Silk Touch Pickaxe to collect all ores ! If you in desperate need of torches, then use normal Pickaxe to collect Coal .

How do I participate in such an amazing event you ask ? Except having Silk Touch Pickaxe , your inventory should be apsoultely empty of all other ores , except Coal . You can NOT use Ender Chest in this event that could get you in any way advantage . You can have armor and Sword / Bow to protect from hostile mobs .

What Else ? If you are lasy person with torches , you can and may use Potions like Night Vision or Fire Resistance or any other potion of your like .

Now , RULES !
We can have 2 types of this event , and people can choose what type they want .

Rule nr.1 No Killing between each other
Rule nr.2 No Ender Chest
Rule nr.3 No Ores in your inventory before game starts except for Coal . (that can be easily checked by seting up bed and kill you self, proving you don't have anything that can brake any rule)
Rule nr.4 Use only Silk Touch Pickaxe to gather Ores (you can use normal pick to collect coal for torches)
Rule nr.5 Have Fun !

I will and can add more rules later .

Types of this awesome event ?
First type will be fun one . So , while collecting all Ores , we don't need to give everything we gathered to winner (person with most points collected) when event ends . Wich means that everything you collected can stay with you , unless you don't need all things then you can share with others !

Second type will be competition wise one . So , you compete to collect as much Ore you can get and beat everyone else with highest score and taking Ores of other people they gathered as your price !

There will be time limit on both types of events , wich is 20 minutes .


Score list (per 1 Ore):

Emerald = 10 points
Diamond = 8 points
Gold = 5 points
Lapis = 3 points
Redstone = 3 points
Iron = 1 point

Other means of earning points:

Dungeon Loots:
Golden Apple = 20 points
Iron Horse Armor = 5 points
Gold Horse Armor = 5 points
Diamond Horse Armor = 10 points
Saddle = 5 points
Diamond from chest = 8 points

Should we make like a building for ABBA caving so people can put earnings in etc?

I think that point of ABBA caving should be to collect items for you self / competing purposes . If there is some one who will play it and don't really want resources , he can put them in spawn area for new people when they join ( when spawn is finished ofc ;-) ) , or they can do what ever they decide to do with ores they mined / get as price . That way everyone could have benefits from it , even if they don't do this game / challenge :-)

I mean't do it as a tournament and there are different stages and the winner overall gets all the earnings which potions & earnings will be kept inside the building.

Oh , that's something else then . But , I dont think we have enough people that play regulary and are willing to play this for such a thing . Also , if we do ABBA more times a week , soon we won't have areas to explore :-/

Maybe we could section off a specific area that can be randomly generated for ABBA caving and after it has been caved it can be randomly generated for ABBA caving to be done there again. Although that wouldn't be vanilla, but it could work.

I have some areas around my Extreme Hills place that can be used for ABBA caving , i have not go trough all caves yet . Or if some one have or knows for place that won't be used , he can post coordinates here ;-)

yay! and I don't recall any lava covering my body... And I especially don't remember dying in that first ravine after the lava theoretically engulfed me...

I logged in yesterday as they were doing it. Needless to say, the server was up at that moment.

The server has been up on and off for the past week or so

Because they put it on so I could make a backup, but wasn't really suppose to be on

I built small house with rules on how to play ABBA Caving . Building is located right next to my Potion shop at spawn .
