| First topic message reminder :Hello everyone. As everyone might have noticed already there is a lot of useless loaded chunks in NamelessCraft map. As useless I mean that there's chunks that no one lives on, nor uses them. People over-exaggerated and explored too much chunks in our world, without even thinking that would cause it too lag or the file size would be much bigger. Right now the size of our world is 3.6GB (too much isn't it?) and dynmap is causing the server having too much lag, so we will disable it until we get this solved. Me and Nathan were thinking that we could unload the chunks of our map, but it's not possible in game, we will have to use a software called MCedit to unload them. And then upload them back to the host, that would take a few hours! =P But either way, it would help alot with lag and the file size. Please give us your opinion and discuss about this. ---------------------------- [Only admins are allowed to see this image] So this is the graphs of the chunks I am thinking to unload from our map. The roads between the fake spawn and original spawn are kinda useless in my opinion, because no one uses them at all, everyone uses the nether for travelling. Also, if anyone knows if there's buildings in those chunks, please let me know. I will make sure if there's nothing there anyway, when travelling with mcedit. Everyone agrees with this? Give me your opinions.

A total of 100 mobs per player, unless a community farm, etc Though this rule will probably need alot of tweaking =P |

| How strictly will this rule be enforced? It's kind of hard to keep track of how many mobs there are sometimes. |

| Nice , I think new server will be mutch better then curent one . I always keep total number of Entities around me on max 80 (E: ? / 80) , becouse everithing more then that drops my FPS :-/ That's why I don't use anny Item Frames or simillar stuff that counts like entitie , or I keep them at minimal number .
And I hope my donation will help you guys ;-) |

| Guys, we've changed hosts a lot. Now I don't know how much a dedicated server that you guys actually own would cost, but making an investment such as that might be good for the server, since lag and host problems are a common occurrence. A solid non-rented server might be a good idea. These are my thoughts. |

What is this concern about underground bases? It's that underground bases and tunnels are hard to see. Even with Dynmap they could be mistaken for natural cave systems? So it would be easy to miss them and delete that chunk, thinking no one has built in it... I think the chunks have been unloaded now though? |

The problem is we cannot afford it. That would be like minimum 30~40€ and our budges doesn't cover that. It would be possible if we got more donations though. - Wilum1 wrote:

I think the chunks have been unloaded now though? And why do you think I didn't delete more chunks! It is possible to check underground bases with MCedit if I carefully look underground, which I did I can also check entities, so if there's entities in an underground, I will check it first. I could have possibly delete much more if I had the time to do it. |
