On Sunday the mods can find a nice area, and put iron/diamond/lapis/gold blocks and other things all over or hidden in certain spots, they would make a bedrock area for us to wait in until they are ready, they give us 1 iron pick and we go find the "eggs" or blocks. Just an idea, post your suggestions to make it better or whatever.

An Event like that is 'too hard' in minecraft, how large would the area be?

We would need to make a limit and build nice stuff inside and stuff like that

I think that's a great idea Kaos, and a perfect use for all the confiscated gear from people no longer on the server. You could even put a few chests around with items in, as well as the blocks.

You could just find a remote location and fence off a large area. Then maybe put some interesting features in the area, lots of trees, caves, maybe even a few structures. Then just fill the area with the loot just before the event!

As it's your idea Kaos, maybe you could prepare the area? If not, I don't mind doing it...

How about this

Set the hunt out in snow layer covered area like really large and have those drop out dispensers and the redstone blocks and have eggs inside those drop out dispensers and whenever someone walks over the redstone blocks it means they found and egg as the egg would get shot out of the drop out dispensers and the amount of eggs you collect would be the amount of prizes you earn

you can change this idea if you want but i just wanted to shout this out

i like this idea. Very festive.

I like the idea, but not the use of eggs/bedrock or any other item that can only be obteinable through creative mode.

I was thinking to make a maze deep at bedrock level, so its impossilbe to see, and whomever reaches the end, wins or something.. xD

soz i wrote it in full derp mode lolz it's basically an easter event where it similar to realism where u have to find the eggs itself in hidden spots but in minecraft case it will be hidden underground and triggered by redstone block

I don't agree using eggs as rewards since they are not vanilla.
The blocks are the 'fair' thing to do.

I think he meant chicken eggs, that could be traded in for the real prizes...

eggs = chicken eggs
"mobs" eggs = spawn eggs/mob eggs
