My friend wanted me to join a server he's on to play with his friend, but like most other servers, that server he's on is at 1.5.2. I did remember that shortly after I logged off of our server, I ready that Meow asked if we can update to 1.5.2. Now I wonder if that's going to happen. The 1.6 update is coming up soon.

You can use the new official (early alpha) MinecraftDev launcher to switch between versions of Minecraft (also snapshots if you so desire), it's what I'm using now and it works great!
